The reality behind Lafayette

If society respected the wise words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44 to “love your enemies” and “pray for those” who hate you, then there would be less violence and division. But as it is “survival of the fittest” is the doctrine of the day. Taught in schools. Adored in pop culture.

The other day, a gunman opened fire in a theatre in Lafayette. Not long ago, in Charleston a gunman opened fire on a Bible study group. Life’s value is squandered. Divisions in society are growing and exposed because of this kind of cruel violence.

How did society get here?

The doctrine of chance, death and survival, was called after its founder, Mr Darwin. Darwinism teaches its adherents that they are merely animals, who evolved from pond scum millions of years ago through a series of impossible accidents. This implies that humans have no intrinsic worth. It is no wonder then, that with the recent exposing of Planned Parenthood’s slaughter and butchering of millions of babies for their parts, many have responded that the life was “not viable”.

“Not viable”? How disturbing! Even one woman argued that a cow is more “viable” then an unborn human. This is disgusting! Yet this is how far Darwinism has sunk us. People who accept this worldview believe that we are the product of millions of accidents that occurred to some chemicals in a primordial puddle.

This disturbing theory was not even considered science years ago, until gradually through atheist pressure the governments began to impose it on the “education” of young people. This kind of “education” indoctrinates people falsely to believe that Darwinism is a scientific reality, and so humans are merely animals that must fight for “survival of the fittest” or in abortion linguistics be “viable”. With this same toxic ideology in mind, Hitler’s Nazi’s put out a propaganda video claiming that by letting the disabled live “we have sinned against the law of natural selection”. This phoney science has been completely debunked and refuted.

Its no wonder, with such ideological indoctrination, social divisions run deep. With the devaluing of human life and worth, more and more we will see violence increasing, as in the days of Noah.

God said something true and utterly compelling. In Genesis 9:6, “…God made man in his own image”. This means we all have intrinsic human worth, valuable regardless of ‘viability’.

The Bible tells us that something went wrong, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”,
(Romans 3:23). In falling short, we ruined the perfect image God gave to us.

This brought separation from God. The implications of this separation are huge. God is our source of life, peace and love. Being separated from love means we all lack love for one another. Being separated from peace, means we have no peace. Being separated from life, is why we all die.

For this reason the Bible tells the truth of our condition, with a message of hope: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

God’s perfect love was shown by sacrifice for us. “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

How do I obtain this free gift?
“…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
(Romans 10:9-10)

This is available to all! For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
